Manifesting Magic: Your Complete Guide to 2025 New Moons and Their Power

Letting go can be scary, as can setting off on a new path of new beginnings. But new can also be liberating and exciting, if you choose to perceive it in that way. Aquarius New Moon January 29, 4:36 am PST / 7:36 am EST

The first new moon of 2025, and every year, is a special one, because it dictates the start of the Lunar New Year. The sun, moon, Mercury and Pluto all sit in Aquarius, the zodiac sign connected to forward thinking and humanitarianism. This energy will enable you to set a new vision for your life that helps serve humanity in some way. The more you think about helping others and the collective, the better this energy will work for you. The sun and moon are in harmony with expansive Jupiter, bringing optimism to whatever cause, situation, or project you’re involved in around this time. Saturn, traditional ruler of Aquarius, harmonizes with energetic Mars for strategic planning. Uranus, Aquarius’ modern ruler, which goes direct the next day on January 30 after a 4 month retrograde, is in sync with Venus, the nodes of fate, and Mars. Support may come when you least expect it, and from someone else who is destined to cross your path. What a wonderful way to move forward at the beginning of the year.

Pisces New Moon February 27, 4:45 pm PST / 7:45 pm EST

This dreamy new moon can awaken the lover, visionary, and healer in you, with the sun, moon, Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, and north node all in mutable, water sign Pisces. This is an energy of flow and adaptability, but there’s not much energy present to ground your dreams and aspirations. This new moon can help you see and visualize what you want, but much more than dreaming will be required to have things materialize. The new moon’s square to Jupiter in Gemini can also be the cause of overoptimism and overcommitment. With Mars in Cancer positively aspecting Saturn in Pisces, only put your energy into things that you truly care about and are willing to fight for.

Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse, March 29, 3:58 am PST / 6:58 am EST

New moon solar eclipses are always more powerful than the standard new moon. Eclipses can be a catalyst for big changes that are made in our lives, depending on where the eclipse falls in your natal chart. This new moon eclipse is an important one because it’s the last one connected to the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle that began in 2023. This eclipse is the beginning of an end, and can propel you in a new direction quickly, but not before closing some things out first. Mercury in Aries and Venus in Pisces are retrograde during this new moon, requiring a look backwards. You may need to resolve something from a significant past relationship. Chiron in Aries may bring issues of self-confidence to the surface. Commit to taking care of yourself and your needs first, and all will fall into place.

Taurus New Moon April 27, 12:31 pm PST / 3:31 pm EST

When the new moon is in Taurus, it’s a good time to focus on physical and tangible things you want to call into your life. But with the new moon’s square aspect to Pluto in Aquarius, think beyond the material items you want to manifest, and commit to making a big transformative change that will increase your personal sense of value and self-worth. Venus, the ruler over the sun and moon, is exalted in Pisces, and now in direct motion and close proximity to Saturn. Long-lasting results are possible. This new moon is also special because it’s the last time we will have a new moon at the same time as this Uranus in Taurus cycle. Venus sits in harmony with Uranus, so risks that are taken now may lead to strong, and personally revolutionary rewards.

Gemini New Moon May 26, 8:02 pm PST / 11:02 pm EST

This Gemini new moon packs an extra punch of auspiciousness with expansive Jupiter also in Gemini for its final weeks before it moves into Cancer, June 9. There is a lot of mutable and air energy present during this new moon, which means you should keep your thoughts positive and remain flexible when it comes to the visions you have for yourself for the future. Mercury, ruler of the new moon, is in a positive aspect with Pluto in Aquarius. This is not a time to play on the surface. Go deep and think about what will really bring joy into your life – not because it’s what you think will look good to other people. Ask yourself, what will bring me peace? The answer to what you should focus on lies there. Mars in Leo and Venus in Aries in harmony, will help you be bold and approach your desires with courage and creativity.

Cancer New Moon June 25, 3:32 am PST / 6:32 am EST

The moon is at home in Cancer so new moons in this sign always have a special dose of manifesting magic. This is especially the case with luck planet Jupiter now in Cancer, the sign of its exaltation, meaning it likes to be here. Because Cancer is associated with women, the mother, the womb, home and family, this is a special time for creation and connecting to the things that are close to your heart, and will help your overall family legacy. Patience and clarity will be required with the moon’s hard aspect to Saturn and Neptune in Aries. This is not a time to make impulsive decisions. The moon is in harmony with Mars in Virgo, so do your research, think options through, and blend your intuition with logic.

Capricorn Full Moon July 10, 1:37pm PST / 4:37 pm EST

This mostly harmonious full moon can bring rewards from consistent past efforts and actions with the moon’s positive aspect to Mars in Virgo and the nodes of fate. Saturn, ruler of this lunation sits next to dreamy Neptune in Aries, while positively aspecting Uranus, now in Gemini. If you can dream it and think it, you can create it, should be your motto. Just make sure to narrow in on one or two ideas as this energy supports consistent and deliberate effort, versus being scattered. 

Aquarius Full Moon August 9, 12:55 am PST / 3:55 am EST 

Embrace Virgo’s notorious tendencies of improvement around the first Virgo new moon. The new moon is inconjunct Pluto, Saturn, and Neptune which means there needs to be an adjustment or compromise made in your life. Look to the area of your life that needs the most help. If you’re looking to manifest a new relationship, don’t be afraid to make the first move if you see a potential love interest. Initiating a creative project or even a personal commitment to showing up more boldly, is supported during this time.    

Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse, September 21 12:54 pm PST / 3:54 pm EST

The last eclipse of 2025 will be powerful and memorable, especially since it’s the second Virgo new moon. As mentioned earlier, eclipses can bring dramatic changes, and this new moon may be the catalyst for a crisis or serious development that ultimately ends up working in your favor in the long run. With Mercury, ruler over the moon, in Libra, news may come from a partner, or it may be connected to an important relationship. A major life adjustment may need to be made, but Jupiter in harmony with the north node ensures you are on the right path towards abundance.

This is one of the most harmonious new moons of the year, presenting the opportunity for you to bring more pleasure, creativity, and balance into your life. Venus, ruler over the new moon, is also in Libra, amplifying its powers of love and partnership. If you are looking to manifest a new relationship or improve a current one, lean into the power of this lunation. Commit to doing more pleasurable and romantic activities with a partner, friends, or by yourself. Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn form a grand water trine, bringing ease to your efforts. But caution, guard against over romanticising a situation that you know deep down is not working. If something isn’t right for you, use this as an opportunity to start a new healing journey.

This is one of the most powerful and transformative new moons of the year, with fixed water sign Scorpio at the helm. The moon in Scorpio is deep and transmutative, so surface level pursuits may not be supported. Mercury sits at the same degree of the new moon in Scorpio, so your mind will be sharp, and you can trust what comes to you in the form of messages. The topics may be connected to your past with Mercury currently retrograde. The new moon is in harmony with Jupiter in Cancer, and Neptune and Saturn, now back in Pisces. This is a highly spiritual energy that can help elevate you to a new level of consciousness. This is a time of awakening. The Sagittarius influence wants you to rush quickly towards your goals with freedom and optimism, and the Pisces influence may cloud your judgement on how to do so. Jupiter rules both Sagittarius and Pisces, and is retrograde in Cancer. The key is to commit only to what you will take the time to nurture and care. Mars exalted in Capricorn will give you the drive and stamina you need, but this is a long game. Streamline your goals and start prepping for the new year to come.
