Big Changes Are Coming! What the March 2025 Eclipses Have in Store 

Buckle up for a wild ride, because March may just be the most eventful month of 2025. Two eclipses, two inner planet retrogrades, the astrological New Year, an outer planet shift, and lots of potent aspects in between, are guaranteed to bring a likely much-needed change to you and many people around you. The two major eclipses in March may help to close one chapter in your life, and open a new one, so let’s take a deep dive into the March 2025 eclipses, the energy they will transmute, and what this means for you. 

Eclipses & The Fated Path

Eclipses are more potent and powerful new or full moons that usually bring dramatic events and/or changes into our lives and put us on a new path, since they are connected to the nodes of fate in astrology. Eclipses occur when the sun, moon, and Earth align near the lunar nodes—the points where the Moon’s orbit intersects with the Sun’s apparent path. These nodes, known as the north and south nodes, or Rahu and Ketu in Vedic astrology, represent destiny in astrology, with the north node pointing toward growth and new lessons, while the south node reflects past mastery and familiar patterns. March 28, 6:58 am EST / 3:58 am PST, there’s a new moon solar eclipse at 9 degrees Aries. This eclipse will help you forge a new path that you’ve been working towards, consciously or subconsciously, since 2024 when the eclipses occurred on the Aries/Libra axis. This eclipse can be seen as a sort of “rite of passage,” and the official crossing over to a new territory, especially since it’s a new moon, which is always about planting seeds for new beginnings. Aries is an important energy that we will all need to get familiar and comfortable with, since both Neptune and Saturn will move into this sign in March and May, respectively. As a cardinal fire sign, represented by a ram, and the first of the western zodiac, Aries energy is the epitome of new beginnings, charging forward, and being fearless. During this eclipse, a retrograde Mercury is also in Aries, and Mars, ruler of the lunation, is in Cancer, making a positive aspect to Saturn, Venus, and the north node in Pisces.
