Weekly Finstrology Update for December 04: Venus Adjustments

December 3, 2023

All times Eastern.

The trading week begins with money planet Venus on the defensive after making a square to Pluto on Sunday morning. Then, on Monday at 1:51 p.m., Venus moves from its sign of rulership, Libra, to the sign of its detriment, Scorpio. Not only is this a jolt in energy, but also an adjustment to having financial issues now come under a spotlight of scrutiny.

The next day, Venus conjoins the S&P 500’s first-trade Neptune and trines its natal Mercury and Venus, a signature among market tops. However, the sun conjoining natal Saturn is the most significant in projecting a potential market high on Tuesday, December 5. Also supporting that idea is that the moon opposes the market’s first-trade sun. Look for support near 4500.

Venus finds a friend in Pisces-traveling Saturn late Tuesday in a trine that facilitates long-term budgeting and investment. What’s more, those plans get a boost in becoming reality when Neptune, in its ruling sign of Pisces, turns direct in motion on Wednesday morning.

Expect a big volume of trading on Friday, December 8, following the U.S. Employment report at 8:30 a.m. Its release is on the heels of an easy trine between Mercury, ruler of data and trading, and Jupiter, the great expander, late Thursday. This is the first of three such meetings between these two planets, so contemplation of Friday’s news could continue until the final trine on January 19, 2024.

Markets on the Move

UPS United Parcel Service

The holiday shipping season is in full gear, and UPS will be delivering millions of packages this month in its familiar brown trucks. The company celebrates “Founders’ Day” annually on August 28, the day it began in 1907 as American Messenger Company in Seattle. It changed its name to United Parcel Service — and adopted its signature brown color — when it expanded into California in 1919.

The company incorporated in Delaware on July 15, 1999, and listed its stock just a few months later, on November 10. That first-trade horoscope features a fixed T-square with Uranus square the sun and Saturn that was activated when the stock scored its record high of $233.72 on February 1, 2022, as the sun, moon, and Saturn conjoined natal Uranus.

On December 18, the stock could make a low as three planets make three different aspects to its first-trade sun. Next year, prices could peak on January 22 when the sun and Pluto are conjunct first-trade Neptune while Mercury and Mars trine natal Saturn. Watch for another high on February 28 when the transiting sun, Mercury, and Saturn — all at 9 degrees Pisces — are partile square the market’s first-trade Pluto. On March 13, prices could bottom when the transiting moon and Jupiter conjoin natal Saturn, just like they did at the low of October 27, 2023.

Weekly Highlights

  • Gold High on Wednesday, December 6 — Prices could peak as the sun and Mars conjoin first-trade Mars and transiting Mercury conjoins the natal sun. In addition, natal Uranus receives a partile trine from Saturn and a conjunction from Venus. In February futures, $2080 per oz. could provide significant resistance.
  • Bitcoin Low on Friday, December 8 — The sun and Mars square bitcoin’s first-trade Venus/Uranus conjunction, with transiting Venus trine its natal position. Venus also squares the first-trade chart’s important moon/Mercury opposition. Look for support $250 either side of $37,000.
  • Crude Oil High on Friday, December 8 — The transiting sun and Mars are both conjunct the market’s natal Jupiter/Uranus conjunction as well as trine natal sun and Mercury. Another first-trade conjunction between the moon and Saturn receives a conjunction from Venus and trine from Saturn. Finally, the transiting moon is aligned with the market’s natal Mars/Pluto opposition. If January futures can clear $80.30 per barrel, then it could be clear sailing toward $86.00.
